Tech Flavor

As an optional rule, I've been thinking about having tech items dependent upon one of the mineral types, Industrial metals, Heavy Metals, Radioactives. The scarcity of the mineral affects the cost of the component (on an undetermined as of yet scale).

Thoughts, comments?
