Error 3020 in Orbital Movement
« on: July 31, 2011, 02:52:22 AM »
Steve,

Have just received the following pop-ups in a real stars game and had not made any unusual moves :-

Error in Orbital Movement
Error 3020 was generated by Daofield
Update or cancel update without AddNew or Edit

clicking on the OK button also gives the same 3020 error but with DAO.RecordSet

and also the message -not a valid bookmark.

The pop-up warnings are impossible to remove from the screen without control-Alt-Delete and closing down Aurora.

Restarting the game causes the error boxes to appear so the only way is to now return to an earlier save.

Had you just generated a new system (by going through an unexplored JP) in the last 5-day?  The most likely thing to have happened is that the corrupt body is brand new.  Are there NPR active?  If so, they could have generated the system during their explorations.

It might be worth keeping the corrupt DB around in case Steve wants to take a look at it....

John
