Title: Adding templates?
Post by: user-unknown on September 29, 2011, 01:06:15 PM
Would there be any complaints if I added a bunch of templates to the wiki to create navigation menus which group related topics? e.g. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Template:Navbox/testcases

(eg. a menu for weapons, installations, etc.)

EDIT: Never mind, it appears I can't actually create pages?

You have to made 5 edits over 4 days before you're allowed to create pages.

I don't have an issue with you creating templates.  Although make sure the page you're planning on adding one to doesn't already have what you're looking for.   For example, I've already created a navbox template for Installations.

Also, I'm not sure what the policy is, but I'd love to grab a few more templates from Wikipedia like {{see also}} and the like.  However, I'm not in the mood to play template A needs Template B which needs Template C.   :)

I created my account aaaages ago but had made no edits - have now though and think it's all working.

EDIT: i hadn't noticed the navbox template exists already! never mind then :)

I monitor the wiki for spam and the like. Other than that, I don't rollback edits others make.
