Missile Interceptor Frigate
« on: August 31, 2023, 01:57:19 PM »
To fight off Raiders (with a max speed of around 4200 km/s) it is the first iteration of an improved Missile Interceptor Frigate.

For now, upgraded parts are only Torpedo Tubes, Torpedos themselves, and Engines.

Next in line to be upgraded:
Sensor array with a lower resolution.
New Torpedos with more speed.

I'm also thinking of getting rid of the thermal sensor in exchange for more Engineering Spaces.

What do you think?

With such low fuel endurance, it feels like this is something that will be zipping back and forth to and from bases as a quick response vessel.   Given that, It feels like you would have better mileage from box launchers, with more missiles to overwhelm the target at a given time.   If you are RTB to refuel after ever sortie, I don't think you lose much by not having reloads.

I agree with this, really not a lot more to add.
