Ground combat

Is there a easy way to see what your own combat points are without counting them? Preferably before you load them on transports.

If you mean the total strength of the ground units you have then yes sort of. In the ground unit tab of the F2 screen there should be a section at the top that lists the total ground strength of all units. This is not so useful if you already have other units you intend to leave there, but you could always create a colony designed as a "premobilisation" area and move units ready to be loaded there and nothing else. This will give you a qay to quickly see the strength of the force you are about to move.
