Her gravsurvey sister was the same. All such cheap vessels must return to base, if their sensor have maintenance problem, but it was passable penalty for their very temperate cost.

Further generations of Survey Command vessels was designed for long voyages with less control of central staff, so they was more "long-legged". Though they still have no superfluous components and their cost was still very moderate.

Finally my Survey Command consists of two types of Task Forces - GEV TF and GSV TF respectively. Each of them consits of command&supply part and surveyors part.

Command&Supply part consists of 1 command ship, 1 military-grade jump tender and 1 jump-capable tanker.
GEV survey part consists of GEV division (up to 6 GEVs) only.
GSV survey part consists of GSV division and 1 survey light carrier with a flight of recon fighters.

New Survey light carrier with her small magazine for buoys was designed after Proxima Centauri slaughter, when Percursor guards, laying at JP ambush, destroyed the whole Gravsuvey division, though recon fighters of previous expedition discovered no trace of enemy ships. In the sequel, standard survey procedure was supplemented with new measure: each jump point, found in voyage, must be secured by sensor buoy immediately.
