Task Force Filtering
« on: July 22, 2011, 06:19:14 AM »
As my empire grows I'm wanting to be creating a combat task force to hold task groups not associated with guarding colonised systems. The problem is that i'm getting quite a long list of task groups in my Fleet Orders window, which isn't helped by my exploration method of transiting and division of geo & grav task groups on several fronts. I want to be able to select a Task Force and only see the Task Groups within that force. Presently I can see all Task Groups in my empire regardless of what Task Force is selected or which Task Group is assigned to which Task Force. Is there a filter option somewhere I havn't found or a way to only see whats in the selected Task Force?

The only way to do what you want is to work in the 4th tab of the F12 screen.  If you click on a ship, you'll automagically select the TG (and I mean TG, not leaf in the TF tree) that that ship is in.

That's a pity. It probably would be a good idea and easily doable. I'll post it in the suggestions thread.
