Background for the United Nations Interative Tales (UNIT)
In 2025 a series of crisis shook the world to it core. Debt crisis, biological weapons, and cyber-warfare devastated much of the world. The next fifteen years was the death throes of the concept of a nation state. In 2040 the world started to rebuild, and soon a new, more powerful United Nations grew to settle the displaced peoples, supply needed food, and soon a world government was formed under the name of the UN.
Many of the players are still there, USA-UK-Canada, the EU, The Pacific Commonwealth (Japan, Korea, Singapore, and Tiwain), China, and Russia are still powerbrokers, but weakened by the wars, they pooled resources together to build up the UN, and make sure they have power within it.
The Earth population has fallen to 800 million, and whole area's of the world are empty. From South America to India, great cities lay devastated. People are rebuilding, but with the war came new technologies, and the promise of trans-Newtonian technology.
The UN consists of the following

The UN president (elected from the assembly)
A member from each of the powers (UUC, EU, China, Russia, and TPC)
Praetor of the Senate (Elected from the UN Senate)
The head of the UN Navy, UN Army, UN Science sit in security council meetings, but do not vote.
Assembly
Consisting of 1 elected member from every 4 million people, this body is the legislative body of the UN. Elections are handled every 5 years unless a special election is called. The body selects a president of the UN. Senate membership is appointed by the Assembly. Elections are handled by world. Census is taken every 10 years.
New worlds obtain a local self rule at 1 million population, and seats at 4 million.
Senate
The Senate consists of

Appointed members
appointed members is of the followings
- Former Presidents of the UN
- Head of the UN Navy if they retire (not death in combat)
- Head of the UN army if they retire
- for every 20 points of support a party gets to submit one name to the senate. This does roll over. So for example, a party with 20% of the assembly seats will appoint a senator yearly, while one with 5 Percent of support will appoint every 4 years.
Senators serve for life. Due to how I check for deaths, the senate is limited to a max of 99 members in most cases.
