And maybe include a wee map or two? ;)

Not asking for much ...!

As you may have noticed, I finished the year and posted everything together.  Thansk for everyone's input, it seemed the clear majority wanted an integrated post, so that is what I did.

I'll work on the maps.  I have to think about how I want to present them.

Right now I'm working on an interim report that will detail the deployments of the major navies, and that might be a good thing to include star maps on.

I prefer to wait too. Its good to see the battle within its context in the campaign rather than a standalone report

I'd prefer to wait - Kurt your writing tends to be so good I don't mind waiting.  In fact I often leave your posts aside until I have sufficient time & and attention to really enjoy them.

I vastly prefer to read things in chronological order, and as little 'spoilery' as possible.  While I'd prefer to have the whole year in one thread, I understand how a big battle can really up the word count.  Ideally, I'd want a single thread with multiple posts covering up the battle, the battle, and then after the battle.

P.S.:  While yearly threads make it easy to navigate the history of the campaign, the natural breaks in the story rarely line up with the calendar.  I find Steve's method of breaking up the story immediately after (or sometimes before) a major dramatic event to make each chapter more satisfying, but then it's harder to navigate the overall story.

P.P.S:  I think the one thing we all agree on is more fiction is better.  We always want as many new chapters as possible, as soon as possible.

I'd rather wait and read the yearly update up to the point of combat and then switch to another thread with the battle, then back to the yearly update.

I have completed a fairly large battle, and the immediate aftermath.  It is going to take me some time, however, to finish out the year and get the writeup ready for posting.  Do you guys want me to post the battle writeup immediately, even though it won't have all of the events leading up to the battle, or do you want me to wait and post it with the year's events?
