Maybe I was dragging the ship by mistake.  Thanks again.

You should be able to drag the fleet to a new admin...  Dragging the ship under it won't work, but the fleet its part of should just drag and drop to the new command.

That's where I started, with a one ship fleet, but when I tried to drag the fleet to a different admin it kept giving me a message saying I couldn't do it.  So I tried detaching, etc.  as mentioned above.  Will play around some more with it and try to figure out what I was doing wrong with moving the fleet.

The fleet is the basic unit, of which ships are components. A ship can't exist without a fleet - if you want an individual ship, you have a fleet with 1 ship in it...

Thanks.  I kept trying to detach the ship from the fleet, but every time I did that it put the ship in a new fleet.

Yup.  It was that way in VB6, I remember learning that lesson.  You can use SpaceMaster mode to give you your ship back.

I deleted a fleet that had a ship in it, and the ship was deleted too.  Is that how it is supposed to work?
