Well, often your Task force has certain bonuses, I don't know what they all do, but having a task force commander and survey commander, both with high survey bonus, on a group of ships with a survey bonus, might add up.

You can put a task force onto the ship so you don't need to carry a planet with you.

1) A buddy of mine said he had some major error when the flag bridge ship with the TF commander was destroyed.

2) Can't you just train the TF and then send them off?  No real need to train elsewhere from what I saw.

What will a Flag Bridge do if I put it on a ship??
