How many mass drivers do you tend to put per planet? Or is there a ratio you use, such as 1:1 mine, 1:5 mines, etc.

Each mass driver can send 5000 tons of minerals per year so you need to check the mining tab to see the projected mining totals for a year.

I use 5-10 on mining colonies, and 1 on the receiving end.

One thing you can do is set up a colony close to the JP, use mass drivers to send all the mineral to that point, and then transship them through the JP with freighters.

About to start mining out of a nearby system. I was wondering what the best way would be? I wouldnt think I could just use mass drivers. Do you usually set up a trade hub for that system where all resources are gathered, and then get freighters to move through jump gates?
