momma said accepting presents from strangers would lead to BAD THINGS; nuclear winter was not on the list as i recall.

I'm no longer exploring new systems. Building up what i have. It's scary out there in the black.

NPRs inevitably try to find your JG network because they want to send nuclear gifts of friendship...

Not only do i have remnants of the Urdur Imperium skulking about, but other aliens are showing up and swatting my survey ships. Not even a hello!, but here hold this nuclear weapon for me......dont move, ill be right back. I promise.

Im thinking about withdrawing into the systems i know and not doing any more exploration. I dont want to lead any of them back to my jump gate system.

I like that not honouring the surrendering agreement hehehe

Sounds a bit like real life, perhaps it should be percentage based who surrenders who does not.

now im finding populations in some of those systems, and while they have no ships, neither are they honoring the surrender aggreement of the home world. I'm finding both the army and navy woefully lacking in preparedness.

the bif surprise when nealy a dozen systems popped up on my map. the Urdur Imperium (Deceased) had been busy. I still have survey ships reporting in as part of the surrender.

There, there. One's first conquered alien population is bound to leave some residual guilt. Just go conquer another. It'll pass.

One less planetfull of slimey alien fungazoids is a step in the right direction for the cosmos!

I thought the negotiating was going splendidly, then suddenly I was in the middle of a shooting war. When the missiles stopped flying, and we had detonated the leftovers, i had conquered the planet..........

Now i feel guilty.
