If you set the class as a tanker it will only start with 10% fuel.

I had missed that.  I usually forget to set the class as a tanker on design, build the first couple and then remember to change it.

You also need to remember to have the fuel they start with unloaded.  Otherwise they will arrive with almost full tanks and do you very little good.

They are only useful for gas planets.

They will start working as soonas they orbit the planet but you need large fueltanks on them. Also don't forget to designate them as tankers. You can then refuel ships directly from them or transport the fuel with tankers to another planet.

Can they only harvest from gas giant planets, or can they make fuel from any planet with Sorium? Also is it automatic as soon as you enter orbit or is there a specific order?
