Played around a bit and I am fairly certain that while the individual captain does influence the grade gain for his crew he has no influence on TF-training. A ship without captain is raising its TF-rate as fast as a ship with a 200 training captain.

Will keep fooling around, maybe I can find some other things as well.

Yes, that's what I thought, but 1.2% TF-training every 5-days with 360 training from the TF level and 175+ from the individual ship commanders does seem a bit low with lvl 5 Crews.

That's why I was wondering if there might be something else I am missing here. Especially since I think that I saw faster training progress before in this game. At the current speed it would take about 2 years to bring the crews up to 100% TF.

Crew training rating of the task force commander, (if in sol system, its whoever is the commander fleet headquarters)
Crew training rating of the Operations, staff officer.
And I believe the crew training rating of any particular ship captains on board.

Hi,

I thought that I understood task force training, but from what I am currently seeing in my game I am not that sure anymore...

Is there any current information what influences task force training gains?
