Nope, I just didn't realise that not all survey points had jump points.
I've found a working one and made 1st contact with hostile aliens who hopefully won't bother to blow me out of the sky.

Most likely he has a lack of jump engines (or invalid ones) on his ships.

Could you be more specific about what you mean by 'I can't make them work'?  What have you tried?

I think I just started a new game with default settings.

Also, all the working jump points seem to be in the wrong Sol system.  (both have survey points but I can't make them work. )

My game seems to have 2 Sol systems, one of which has been colonised by me.  Is this a known bug or have I been stupid?
