1st January 2041
On the first day of the new year, Japan announces its agreement to join the Commonwealth. Negotiations have been progressing steadily over the last twelve months and the interest surrounding the impending Royal wedding has brought the people of Japan and the Commonwealth closer together as they learn about each other
