This is not save game compatible. Delete the Aurora.exe and AuroraDB.db files from the installation directory and then copy the two files from this patch into that directory.
v1.40 Patch (http://www.pentarch.org/steve/Aurora140.rar) (21Mb)
This fixes most (currently) outstanding bugs. I'll see what materialises over night :)

Another day, another patch. Fine job.
-
Superb work!
-
Steve, you really are the man.
-
You work fast. Outstanding work Steve, thank you for your work.
-
Just to be clear, you can go directly from 1.0 to 1.4, correct?
-
Thanks Steve! and yes you can go directly from 1. 0 to 1. 4

God damn man, you could teach those modern corporations something about post launch patching and how it should have bren done.
Love it.

Not quite but it shows that actual programmers and codees are most important, not diversity hires in HR, no PR marketing cunts, community managers and rest of that trash.
Its all about coders and programmers and somehow they are always ignored. Especially when it comes to salaries.
Steve singlehandedly proves the entire industry wrong.

Not to take anything away from Steve, he is doing an amazing job putting these patches out so fast.
But it does also help a lot to have a developer that knows the whole codebase like the back of his hand, since he has written all of it.
No messing with other peoples code.

Are there any Patchnotes available?

Are there any Patchnotes available?
No, but you can skim over the 1.10 bugs, 1.20 bugs, and the 1.30 bugs list threads to see which one Steve confirmed fixed.

Are there any Patchnotes available?
Simple Canadian made one, not sure if updated with 1.4 though

EDIT: apparently he did https://www.reddit.com/r/aurora/comments/g1gl7t/aurora_c_v140_now_available_patch_notes/

1.40
If THIS number changes, you need to do a new full install.
1.40
If THIS number changes, it is not compatable with your database, and you will lose your saved game(s) and such. (replaces Aurora.exe and AuroraDB.db)
1.40
If THIS number changes, only the executable has changed, and you can continue with your existing game(s). (replaces only Aurora.exe)

I'm not sure what's going to happen after 1.9.whatever, but probably the patch will be called 1.10.0 or maybe 1.A.0

What he does show is that one man passion hobby projects =! corporations.
Getting off topic though.

I really admire what you have achieved and what you are doing for us: people who like deep and difficult games.
This speed of bugfixing is unmatched in industry

I just tend to get my head down and concentrate :)
My wife was vacuuming yesterday and end up right behind my chair. Until she spoke, I hadn't registered she was there or heard any noise :)
