Title: Naval Organization - Ship Status
Post by: Cobaia on April 26, 2020, 02:52:52 PM
Hello,

I searched for an answer to this but came out short.

Does any one know what the this status mean?

I get the O - For Overhaul but what does the A mean?

Thank you in advance!

What about Status "F"?

I have a civilian freighter that surrendered from another empire, and I can't seem to scrap it......I'm not sure if it's related to the F status, but I have no clue what "F" is so I can't draw any productive conclusions.

Might be either 'freight onboard' or 'fuel required'. I know I have seen this on my own ships but I haven't figured out what it means.

F means that Transponders (Friendly) are on, though i'm not sure if this serves any mechanical purpose. In addition, T means that Transponders (All) are on, and you might want to turn this off if it's unintended, which can be done by using the Deactivate Transponders command on the fleet orders screen.

Ah, thanks. I must have seen it on one of my scout ships. I usually run them with friendly transponders active in the hopes of finding friendly NPRs.

Unfortunately, Transponders (Friendly) won't help with that.  The "(Friendly)" part means that only your own (and allied) sensors can see them.  You want "Transponders (All)" turned on so that All sensors see your ship.

Hah, maybe that will help with future xeno relations.
