I want to share with you the music I listen to while playing Aurora. Simply splendid and fits perfectly to the game.
Only pleasure for the ears, and guaranteed immersion ! :)
Treat yourself ! ;)

As long as we're sharing music suggestions, here's what I listen to.
Pretty much the entire Stellardrone discography (https://stellardrone.bandcamp.com/) after the VB6 wrapper introduced me.
The Infinifactory soundtrack (https://zachtronics.bandcamp.com/album/infinifactory-ost) was designed to help you focus, and it absolutely fits Aurora.
The soundtrack from an old MMORTS called Beyond Protocol (https://sourceforge.net/projects/beyondprotocol/), as that game shares many similarities with Aurora.
The soundtrack to Distant Worlds.
The album Solar Echoes (https://nigelstanford.com/Solar_Echoes/) by Nigel Stanford

Yes of course Stellardrone, on the other hand I did not know the Infinifactory soundtrack, thank you for the info, there is also Endless Space although softer for my taste but pleasant and then there are so many others. Solar Echoes and Beyond Protocol, I would listen to them.
Thank you, for sharing Inglonias :)

The bandcamp page for Stellardrone suggested I'd like 'Carbon Based Lifeforms' if I liked Stellardrone. Turned out it was a decent suggestion.

I miss Aurora's predecessor's habit of playing your "race theme" sound file when you were on the race window. I would love it if "Diggy, Diggy Hole" started up every time I went into Empire Mining.

Perhaps it would be possible to reintegrate a music file in C #?

Only Steve knows what is possible.

I've found myself listening to the ChilledCow music streams on youtube while playing most of the time. It's strangely appropriate, most of the time.

Only Steve knows what is possible.
There is no debate on this, I completely agree with you. I may have misspoke my question.
If time allows, Steve may be looking into it one day.
But it's only cosmetic, nothing important.

I'll just quote my old post still it's still relevant:
SomaFM has few stations that I love listening to while playing Aurora:
http://somafm.com/missioncontrol/ (http://somafm.com/missioncontrol/)
http://somafm.com/dronezone/ (http://somafm.com/dronezone/)
http://somafm.com/deepspaceone/ (http://somafm.com/deepspaceone/)
http://somafm.com/spacestation/ (http://somafm.com/spacestation/)
Mission Control is my favorite - nothing beats ambient with actual Apollo/STS audio logs.

I've been enjoying the music of Caprica City:

Very good. Continue to offer links or even Artist names, who knows, when Steve looks at it, he will already have an idea of the music he can integrate into C # in the future. :)

It would be a thousand times easier (licensing-wise) for Steve to say "Here's a thread from the board; play something from it in your browser."

It's not false.

Thanks for the suggestions so far. Many nice Soundtracks suggestions.
I also enjoy the soundtracks from the X games, particularly X4: Foundations, X Rebirth and X3: Albion Prelude. If you look for Alexei Zakharov on Spotify you can find them there.
Speaking of Spotify, for those who use it, here are links to the soundtracks mentioned so far that I was able to find there:

This is similar to what I use with the VB6 wrapper - that had a really nice system where the tracks in the music file would be played in random order.
I wonder if there ever will be a C# wrapper, someone will probably try when the build stabilizes

That would be AuroraLoader: https://www.reddit.com/r/aurora4x_mods/comments/g53o3l/auroraloader/
