Title: Deleting installations
Post by: Kaiser on May 07, 2020, 11:42:59 AM
Stupid question, is it possible to permanently delete installations? I have 30 search lab, I want to destroy 5 of them.

Turn on SpaceMaster mode on. Go to Economics - Civilian Economy, there is list of installations on left side. Select Research Facility and click SM Edit button.

I usually just move them to luna or some other nearby body that doesn't have minerals as a sort of storage. Also sometimes you get lucky and NPR's will attack your storage instead of Earth.

I don't know why you would ever delete things when you can just store them.

Good question, basically 30 research lab are too many, I am often not using 5 of them, however I'm constantly getting the message "5 unused research lab on Earth" (or something) which is boring me.

Yeah, transport them to an otherwise empty colony.

. . .and still get the "5 unused research labs" message every increment, but now from a new location.

As Black posted, use SpaceMaster (the crystal ball icon) to remove them.

Ah, I thought that wouldn't happen if there was no population to work them.

I will admit to never having tested it, so you might be right.
