Title: New mods
Post by: Erik L on May 04, 2008, 02:24:21 AM
I am thinking about adding the following features. Previously, I've just added them without any input from the users. Since the ones I am looking at now are mainly user rather than admin/security, I'd thought I'd get your input on them.

The mods are as follows:
1. Saving Posts as drafts. - This mod will allow you to save a post as a draft. It will not be visible until you post it.
2. Additional BBCodes - Various codes such as strikethrough, super/subscript and others.
3. Bookmark forums - Allow you to bookmark forums.
4. Table BBCode - Ability to create tables in BBCode.

The others I've been contemplating are admin/security, so I'll just add those sometime tomorrow.

Thanks for asking, Erik.  I actually don't have an opinion on any of the suggestions, but didn't want you to think we weren't paying attention :-)

I agree with John, thanks for asking, and personally I would like the more BBCodes mod myself. :D

Cheers, ??rgr?mr

If there are no strenous objections to the mods proposed, I'll add them Wed 5/7.

Bookmarks are done. The BBCode is in, but there was an error in the posting php page. So I need to dig that out and figure out where it went wrong. This error affects the drafts also. (never code php changes while on cold drugs)

Bookmarks are on the topic page, at the top left in the blue bar. To access your bookmarks, there is a link in the header next to the RSS Feed link.

The remaining mods are now fixed and live. Gotta love trying this while you are sick with the flu. (stupid parenthesis). All BBCode and Save as Draft functions are finished and working.

Eric, I PM'd ??rgr?mr. When I clicked submit, It seemed to send it, but then didn't clear the page. So I clicked Submit several more times. Non of them cleared the page and seemed to send the PM. I was able to back out using IE. Ideas?

Was there any formatting? I just sent him one and it seemed to go no issues. But I am using IE.

I figured it out. I didn't put a subject in. Thank you for your quick response.
