I'm having trouble getting a set of colliers to re-arm their fleet in space. I've checked all of the following:
-The collier flag is checked for the collier class.
-The colliers have the correct missiles loaded.
-The collier class has an ordnance transfer system (40MSP per hour).
-The target ships have their template loadouts filled by the correct missile.
-The colliers and target ships are in the same fleet and are stationary.
-Under the "Ship Design Display" tab, I've set the colliers to "Load Fleet Ordnance. "
-The target ship magazines are only at 6%.
With all of the above confirmed, I don't see any missiles being transferred. Is there some step I'm missing?
-
Did you wait? Because transfer takes time.

Yeah, I've run the clock over a day.

Automatic dropdown command might be the problem. Try deataching collier and then command it "join&load ordnance". It should work.

Just did the following and still no dice.
-Perform "Detach Colliers" with the main fleet at a waypoint.
-Set the detached colliers to "No Auto Ordnance" on the dropdown menu.
-Perform "Join and Add Ordnance to Fleet" to rejoin the colliers.
After these steps, the dropdown for the re-attached colliers reads "Load Fleet Ordnance. " However I still see no transfer taking place after several hours. Some other details that may or may not be relevant:
-I initially had shields up and sensors on, for the target ships. Turning all that off didn't fix it though.
-I'm in a combat situation; there's an NPR in mutual sensor contact and they've been shooting missiles at me.
-These colliers are also tankers. Fuel transfer appears to work when I set the proper command on that dropdown.
Edit: Is there something I'm supposed to do with the loadout template of the colliers themselves?
-
I think it may be. I remember that I had to empty collier template to make transfer possible. There may be a min option in the design page misc tab just like tankers min fuel.
-
I've cleared out the collier template for both the ships and the class. Still no transfer.
It might be that I used commercial mags on the colliers. Can those not perform in-space transfer? I don't see such a rule on the wiki but I'm wondering if that's it.
-
No, comm mags are just inefficient. They should make the transfer the same.
-
I am having the same issue.
My collier is also using commercial mags.
So have you ever figured out what the problem was?
I can not get my collier to reload my missile ordinance either.
Ok I got it to work finally.
I also had to remove the ord from the ship design so the collier thinks it is supposed to be empty.
But I also found short time runs will not do the reload.
You can run it for a day at 5 second intervals and it will never reload any ord.
But run it for at least a 3 hour stretch at a time and then the reload starts to work.
No idea why it responds like that but it does.

I like to use ship ord templates for colliers as opposed to the design template since you tend to load them depending on the battle and ships you want to rearm anyways.
