Title: Not so obvious Game Pointers and specials.

Each space port unloads +10% faster, up to +50%.

Some planets have special trade goods that add bonus money when the freighters arrive.

Advanced weapons tech trees can be gained from alien ruins.

You must create a colony(0 pop) when mining asteroids through the f9 screen when in SM mode. You must periodically pick these minerals up through the Task Force window.

Can anybody else think of any repeated issues that our new members have had? I am pretty sure that I have forgotten a lot of these. My memory is ... unreliable. :|

The first one is in 3.1, not 3.0.

Spaceports allow creation of trade routes also. One is needed at each end.

This is in v3.1 so it's not part of the released version yet.

The special trade goods bonus increases the production of trade points, resulting in the generation of more trade convoys than normal, which in turn results in more money generated by convoy departing from that planet. Same result as you described above above but slightly different mechanics
