Hello.
I am wondering why should I buy any orbital habitat (except for RP purposes). I mean.. if I build a Terraform Space Base, does it need Orbital Habitat? How many? The Asteroid Minning does need the orbital habitat?
So... basically, I need a full lesson about how to use them :D
Thanks.

Orbital Habitats provide living space for people who will work at installations. The terraforming installation requires workers, but the terraforming module on a ship or station does not. A mine requires workers, but a mining module does not. Therefore you don't need Orbital Habitats.

It's a way to get population to a place that either cannot support a lot of people or is very expensive to build a colony on, say, like Venus. If the colony cost is larger than 5-6, orbital habitats are cheaper to build than infrastructure on the surface. There are planets that are so hostile that terraforming is not feasible, so habitats are the way to go.

Beyond what has been mentioned, you might also find some good ideas on how to use OH in this thread: http://aurora2.pentarch.org/index.php?topic=11584.0

Thanks all for your replies :)
Is there any place where I can see how many citizens require each installation?
