Title: Spawn New Player Race Mid-Game

Simple enough question. Is it possible to spawn a new player race mid-game? If so, how? I can't seem to figure it out. I've wanted to spawn impromptu pirate/rebel factions on planets with high unrest.

Yes, it is and it's done through the System Generation and Display window.

1. Have SM on.

2. Click Earth.

3. Click Create Race.

The rest is as usual. Remember to make sure that species are the same as yours.
