Title: Multiple species greatly increasing pop growth rate - WAI?
Post by: Cristo on December 02, 2023, 08:09:24 AM
Hey! Is it working as intended that if you have (for example) 5 species living on the same planet you get dramatically higher pop growth than if you just had 1 (for the same population size)?

It seems to movitate odd playstyles and I just wondered.

Thanks!

Sounds like a bug to me.

What are the population growth modifiers of each race? Do they seem to be "sharing" their growth?

Hey - sorry I missed your question when you first posted it. I don't have the save any more so I can't confirm, but I believe they weren't - that was the issue.
Each pop at (say) 1m pop grew as if they were just a 1m pop alone on a planet, so with 5 1m pop species they grew much faster than 1 5m pop species.
