Title: Planetary sensors
Post by: James Patten on November 27, 2008, 07:07:33 AM
Aren't Planetary sensors supposed to detect the comings and goings of an "alien" fleet?  For my two-nation campaign on earth, only one nation has spaceships and the other nation's sensor aren't saying anything about detected alien fleets.

Double check the events, make sure that particular one is turned on.

That's what it was...thanks.

Sort of thought that might be the case with Steve's post in the bug thread about some events being off :)

OK, now that I've been playing for a while with sensor events turned on, I still have more questions?

Are planetary sensors active sensors or only EM/Thermal sensors?  I'm guessing Thermal only because of the messages I am getting.  Does a planetary sensor tell you where (in a general sense) the contact is located?

Planetary sensors are Thermal and EM Only. If you want active sensors you will need to put them on a base or ship. The planetary sensor will give you the exact location of a contact. Make sure you have contacts turned on on the Contacts tab of the System Map
