Title: How to get more higher rank ground commanders?

I use base 12500 ton formations which require colonels and I don't have enough of them. So I am wondering how to get all my majors to colonel rank.

There is Promote button in Commanders window (3rd button on the bottom of the window).

But you can manually select what rank the formation needs.

Ground Forces - Formation Templates - right side of the window - select formation and then use Change Rank button.
