Title: I built a tug...
Post by: James Patten on November 09, 2009, 11:42:21 AM
I built a tug (it's got tractor beams) but now what do I do to it?  I look for orders associated with a colony or a ship, but there's no orders indicating that I can tug something.

It's been a while since I used one but there used to be a 'Target tractor beams on' type order on the F12 screen that then popped up a list of available ship targets.

Have you got them in a task force on their own or grouped with the shipd you want to tow?

u MUST goto in F6 ship windows, select: MISCELLANEOUS and u found: TRACTOR LINK: select waht linkage and click "Create link"..then return on task Group windows and click "SET" u now show linked ships..

(more easy not,uh Steve?:DDDDD)

That's the way, thanks waresky and cassarella.

Just out of curiosity can you use two tugs (in one task group) to tug one very large object?  I towed a 20K civilian shipyard and it slowed my normally 10K+ kph tug down to 900+ kph.

No, you can only use one tug.
