I wasn't going to build any of these, I never do, but I thought I would give it a go this time.
Using just the components I have designed so far and constructed in my Navy Yards which are only capable of doing 15k Tons of what I am classing as Cruiser (not using Light or Heavy distinctions in this game), 10k Tons is Destroyer and also GV plus GE.
Missile Base, will probably station it 30m km from the WP in the direction of the Star or Colony as that is the least line course an enemy needs to take and it is well within range of my missiles and FC.

The OWP has 50% more launchers, tougher armor plus 4 CIWS for dedicated PD. Of course, it is immobile and needs a tug - which I have to design and build

Laser Base, can either deploy it on the JP or with the Missile Bases as an extra layer of PD - but that would likely be a waste since all the enemy needs to do is bypass the Laser Base by 200k km!

Same again, more armor and more guns on the OWP. The Buoy luncher can be used to seed mines - although they will deploy on top of itself! I could also change that to include a pure sensor buoy to supplement the on board sensors.
Possible upgrades in the future, when I get the next level of armor, could be:
- include shields, I already tried that in these designs and a 20 strength shield could be sustained for 300 days non-stop using just the one fuel tank. The problem was the failure rate. I went for more engineering spaces instead to prolong Time On Station as apposed to the couple of missiles it could absorb.
- design an extra stage to the mine which is the carrier which leads to designing a larger Buoy launcher. This way I can properly seed missiles from the base around the circumference.
- add a marine company, boat bay (with pinnace) and a small troop transport bay and voila! I have a customs detachment
