Title: Infrastructure
Post by: x2yzh9 on January 11, 2010, 03:44:19 PM
How much infrastructure do i need per 1,000 people? or 10,000? What's the infrastructure/population rate?

That is dependant on the colonization cost.

A cost of 0.0 requires no infrastructure. As for the actual formula, I know Steve has posted it somewhere in the forums.

Do you know where/what the formula is? My mars colonists are growing very unhappy, and i kinda need to know. Heh.

If you look on the summary screen for the colony, it will have an entry for infrastructure. The line below that is supported population. So if your pop is higher than that, you need to relocate some citizens or increase the infrastructure.

As for the formula, I did a brief search of the mechanics forums (which I thought it was in), but did not find it.

from the v4.77 tutorial

The formula for required infrastructure is Population in millions x Colony Cost x 100. So a population of one million on a planet with a colony cost of 2 would need 200 infrastructure
