Are they actually useful?

I have yet to design anything smaller than 250 tons - other than fighters.

Assault shuttles and for something that say is an increment of 250 rather than the larger 1000 from a full hangar.

Of course! Wow, I'm an idiot.

The hangar space they provide stacks. I hadn't even thought about that.

For some reason I was thinking each boat bay only allowed 250, not that two would allow 500. Duh.
