Surely all those designers are on the Prison Planet by now!
(I believe Waresky is working on a 200,000 ton prisoner transport, for ship designers, captains, and hopefully telemarketers)

My thoughts exactly, you should get rid of the JG construction, salveger and fuel harvesters and instal the biggest most badass laser battery the galaxy will ever have the dubious honor of running from.

Can't that be drastically cut with just a handful of engineering sections? Or, looking at the maintenance capacity, is that failure rate merely the result after installing untold amounts of engineering bays?

The first one takes 52 days to reload, the middle one 14 years, and the last one is 260 days.
With a minimum rate of fire of 2 months, best hope your target does not shoot down all your incoming missiles.

I believe the original author hacked the database to provide parameters normally outside the limits. This is also not a Recommended Thing (TM) as this may cause instability in the program. And I believe Steve tends to prioritize errors from hacked databases very low in the bug area.
