Title: How do you choose your starting techs when they aren't assigned automatically?

I unchecked the "Assign automatically" button on the create new game screen.

In the F2 research tab, I have a field that says "Starting RP."  It is set to 120,000, and is greyed out.

According to one of the wiki pages, there should be an "Instant" button somewhere on this tab which allows me to buy techs using these starting RPs, but I don't see it anywhere.

What do I need to do?

You need to be in Space Master mode
