Title: Possible bug?

I think I've come across a bug in a new game I've started.   I created this laser:

Damage Output 3     Rate of Fire: 5 seconds     Range Modifier: 2
Max Range 60,000 km     Laser Size: 3 HS    Laser HTK: 1
Power Requirement: 3    Power Recharge per 5 Secs: 3
Cost: 10    Crew: 30
Materials Required: 2x Duranium  2x Boronide  6x Corundium

Development Cost for Project: 100RP


But upon equipping it to a ship it shows this:

10cm D3 RoF5 Visible Light Laser (1)    Range 0km     TS: 2500 km/s     Power 3-3     RM 2    ROF 5        0 0 0 0 0 0 0 0 0 0
Tried it with the infrared lasers as well as the 12cm lens size and it shows the same issue.   Far as I can tell I haven't done anything different from any other campaign I've started.   Any idea what I did wrong or is this truly some weird bug with my game?

Edit: Solved it, until you make and place a fire control (any fire control) on the design the lasers will show that they have no range.  Not sure if this is a bug or a feature, but it's repeatable.

Unless there is a firecon, the laser canĀ“t shoot at all, so it actually _has_ range 0 and will therefore deal 0 damage :)

I would say that it is a feature, but maybe you could suggest to Steve to have a warning message appear in the class design screen in the same way that a warning shows up for lack of crew quarters.
