Title: Merging populations and PD

Can two populations of the same race be merged?


Is it possible for a missile fired from an earth-based PDC, targeting another earth-based target, to be intercepted by PD?
Does it hit the target instantly?

1)  You should be able to pick folks up with a colony ship and dump them at the other population.

Not with a single game action.  The easist way is to modify the populations in SM Mode.

TN missiles?  No, the missiles will move and intercept thier target before being detected.  It's a function of the game sequence that missiles that launch within thier 5 sec range are not detected and thus can't be engaged by any PD.
