So, I've been tracking this game for a while, but only now with lavenders video tutorials am I really trying to understand it.
But I've noticed a "bug" in my game. It doesn't show the real values of minerals, instead showing only integers.

So in this image, you can see that for ex, Corbomite, even though it has 1 accessibility, its annual production is 4 instead of 4. 800. The same happens with the quantity, and even on others screens.
I've posted this under the Academy because maybe I just did something wrong, so any guess what it might be? It's version 5. 60
Edit: so you can't directly use links on this forum? that gotta be a pain

You can, but only after accumulating a certain number of posts. It's an anti-spambot measure.
Yeah, your screen is only showing the integer dividend of your mineral totals divided by 1000. Weird.
Does it stay the same after cycling through a build-cycle (five days)? Could it be a bad install?

I see.
Just passed 6 days and it's still the same. Reinstalled it twice to be sure, nothing's changed.
I'm running setup, installing, keeping all the files on system32 instead of overwriting, then extracting the 5. 54 update to that folder, and after that the 5. 60 files. Then, the only thing I change is the Reduced Height Windows, because my max resolution is 1280x800.

That's really odd. I can't see what you're doing wrong. Maybe someone with more experience will be able to help you.
Sorry.

Check your summary tab, in the lower left corner. Make sure nothing is tanking your output.

I don't think I understand what you mean by "tanking your output".
It's a new game, I didn't do anything at all, and the summary looks fine I guess.

Down in the lower right hand corner (not left) there should be a series of percentages. If any are below 100%, your output is reduced to that amount.

For example, you might have so many active shipyards, financial centers, research labs etc that your mines are under-staffed.

nothing I can see that is affecting that, but here it is

I said "it's a new game" but I've created at least 10 more games, with reinstalls and the problem persists.
Maybe it's one of the files in system32 that should be overwritten? The game seems to be depending on something external to show the correct values, the setup files are the same as yours, and I'm quite sure I've installed it correctly.

YES, that was it! I totally forgot that I changed that a while back, can't even remember why! Now it all shows the correct values!
Thanks! Off to play around with this!
