I am in the process of colonizing several planets in Alpha Centauri, all of them have high to extreme tectonics, does this affect my colonists?
-
Not at the moment. Same if the planet has water or no water present.
Usually it just means that if you put a survey team on the planet they have a greater chance of finding more mineral deposits and the deposits they find tend to be more bountiful too (I think?) But I'm not entirely sure of the mechanics myself

Tectonics has no effect at the moment. I am planning to add a very small chance of Major Earthquake / Super Volcano at some point, based on the Tectonics, which would result in casualties and damage. It's been on my list for a long time though.

Nooooo! You just pushed back the 5.7 release by another week!! :)
-
I surmise we never see 5.7 and instead skip to 6.0 on or around US's Memorial Day. :P
-
Memorial day was at the end of May. Next one is in 2013. Maybe you meant Labor Day ( September)
-
Oops. Aye, Labor Day it is.
