Title: Reserve Level
Post by: starshard0 on October 24, 2012, 09:49:52 PM
What exactly do reserve levels do for my minerals, and what is a good way to utilize them?

The reserve levels are there to prevent your freighters (and/or mass drivers) from taking away minerals you want to keep on a body.

For example if you had an extra-solar mineral hub consolidating all the mined materials in its system and also functioning as a fleet base, you could set your reserve levels to 1000 of each mineral. Then a freighter sent to the base with a 'load all minerals' order would take whatever it could without reducing the base below its reserve levels.

Does the reserve level also apply to mass drivers?

Which window/tab do you set reserve levels from? I've looked around industry or mining, but wouldn't be surprised if I missed it in plain sight

To expand on this, you double-click on the mineral you want to set a reserve
