Title: Use of AMMs?

I recently designed a fleet including several AMM armed vessels, and in my first engagement I was slaughtered by a much smaller fleet because my AMMs would not launch, my sensors were detecting them but no launch, I had my launchers and FC all set up, how do  set them to launch automatically?

I'm usually setting the AAM defences up on the individual unit detail screen by:

1. Choosing the AAM fire control
2. Assigning the launchers to the fire control and the missiles to the launchers.
3. Setting the "Max PD Range" usually to 200 (2m km) - This step depends upon your AMM and Fire Control range.
Edit: 4. step: Choosing how many AAMs i want to intercept one enemy ASM and then hit the "Set Mode" button.
