I'm really new at all this, but one thing I'd like in some ideal Aurora future would be the ability to advance the game from the events window. At the moment, I find I click "30 days" and most of the time the next thing I do is click the Events button (I'll be using the advance buttons from the system map screen, typically, or sometimes from the industry or summary screen). Alternatively, "proper" resizable windows so I can still see the events screen when another subwindow is active without having to radically crop the system map. Or maybe I'm just not getting the interface sorted out, and I just need a pointer in the right direction. . .

Look at the bottom part of the display tab on the sector map screen. Check the box titled "Show Events" and events will be displayed at the bottom of the system map screen. The only issue with this is that you may need to uncheck the box to interact with anything else on the system map if you have alot of events happen in a single increment.

Sweet! I didn't know this, despite playing for years and years.
Karma for FyrenEyce, respect to Steve.

Ah! Thanks for that.
So change the suggestion to: allow "jump to event" from that listing on the system map. . . :) And make things like "TG Numpty has completed orders" take you straight to the TG orders screen when you click on the event. . .

I use 3 screens. One for F2, one for F3 and one for the Event log...
So being able to advance time from 2/3 screens is enough for me, I don't need the 3:ed aswell ;D

Off topic - so many Paradox faces :-)

'Twas on the HOI3 board I heard of the existence of Aurora.

Via the great blue bird perhaps?

Aurora really needs 4 monitors. F2, F3, Events, and the Forums. Task Groups and Galaxy map can double up with F2 and Events for navigation.
I never thought I would ever refer to my dual head setup as only two monitors.
