Title: How to make sure colonists dont die.
Post by: Sebastian2203 on October 28, 2013, 02:08:24 PM
Hello this is my first post.

I found this game on bay 12 games and, I downloanded and started playing this game two days ago.  I am probably doing wrong alot of this but this is my problem:

I got colony ship with 10k colonists on it I drop it off on mars, and as I read somewhere they will die because they do not have some oxygen or life support.  And they do die, I have annual grow: -50% .  I tried hours  and ingame years to research such "module?"for life support or w/e but I was unable to find any.  I was able to put automated mines in that planet but I still wanna to dump all of my earth population to mars withouth killing my people.

So question is where I reasearch that module or how to colonize mars properly ?

To colonize worlds with colony cost higher than 0 you need to transport Infrastructure to the planet.

Aurorawiki  page on Infrastructure should be useful: http://aurorawiki.pentarch.org/index.php?title=Infrastructure
