Just as it says, how do I go about including recovered components from ruins/wrecks? I just snagged 23 size 1 stellerator fusion reactors from the ruins on Mars I SM'd into the game start, which is good since I don't have to make my own(I have the background tech for these, and was in the process of designing better corvettes with my new plasma drives. Good timing!)

You need to make a design incorporating the salvaged components.

Somewhere in the ship design window there's a checkbox for "own tech only". Uncheck it, and you will be able to add found components to your designs.
