Hello fellow Aurorans, I discovered interesting project few days ago on Kickstarter. It is a mix of strategy and RPG set in far future. It is called The Mandate and you will play as captain and later admiral of space navy with several ships under your command. Project seems very interesting and developer team is group of experienced game developers. Maybe some of you will be interested in this.

I have been watching this one for some time now and finally couldn´t resist anymore.
I only hope the AI will be good enough to make co-op play an option and not a necessity, given I am a hardcore single-player guy (with emphasis on _single_).
Yes, the devs said so, but we all know, if you let the AI do something, you could do yourself, you´re screwed!

It is same for me, I also prefer single player, so I will pass on the co-op option. I hope that they will be able to do this properly as there are no other games that would offer something like this (only Nexus: Jupiter Incident is somewhat similar).

Well the game was funded successfully with first two stretch goals (away missions and starbase assault) financed as well. Now we can only hope, that the developers will be able to create good game. It is also still possible to support the game through Paypal.
And a piece of information from official forums that could be interesting for Hawkeye:
The Mandate is a single player game with an optional cooperative component first and foremost.
