Hi,
sometimes I salvage a wreck I get the message, "Alien Class scanned" followed by "Tech Data scanned" (if a component was found whose tech-level I am still lacking I am getting some research-points). Any idea if the "scanning" is purely random or if there is some stat for the captain of the salvager (like e.g. xeno/factory production) which influences this?
