Title: Difficulty with Precursors/Invadors

I have a question.  Since I cannot play the game due to a bug - and I am looking for a challenge - is the game compareable with invadors and precusors and no NPR as opposed to 2 NPRs and the two other factions?

Without giving away too much info: no.  Precursors are a relatively minor annoyance once you figure them out.  Invaders are death unless you are lucky or you are turning them on for a challenge in the late game.

NPR generally parallel you in growth and development.  Within the limits of the AI they try to keep pace with the human player.  Unless you have been twiddling your thumbs when you meet an NPR it's tech level and size should be comparable.

Damn.  So, as compromise you can't just say precursors for a while, and then turn on invaders and see if you can surivive it?
