Greetings,
I used to play years ago. New PC, old files lost. Downloaded the set up to start again and I'm having issues. I can't create a new game. There is no option, either to create one, or pre existing, for a SM default race which means I can't create a new setup. Any help?
Thankyou,
Jeff Morrison

Anyone have any thoughts? My screen does not look like the wiki page for a new start at all. Its much smaller, none of the columns on the right and even a much smaller portion on the left.

At the bottom left (I'm pretty sure, don't have to game open right now) is a button that says "New". That leads to the game creation screen.

Yeah that doesn't work, or rather it results in the shrunken field and not the one shown in the wiki. I'm missing something, some file or something.
-
What is your screen resolution?
-
1920 x 1080
The problem isn't that things are being cut off at the edge of the screen its that there are simply missing boxes and options from the the one shown in the wiki.

Open an existing game, instead of creating a new one. One of the menu options is for reduced height windows. Make sure that is off.

I do not see that option. I opened Help In the "Nemesis" campaign that came with the installation. It said this was version 0.1.0? >....not the 5.54 I downloaded and installed. Hmmmm I am confused.

Reduced Height Windows option is under Game Parameters menu. The latest version is 6.43.

Well got it mostly working, got the new versions finally to install and open (had to move the /aurora folder to somewhere other than program files.
even set up a new game. But one more problem.
Error 713 (when hitting f9 system information) ...it says I'm missing file MSSTDFMT.DLL

I believe Simple Shutdown Timer (here (http://www.pcwintech.com/simple-shutdown-timer)) has MSSTDFMT.dll. You can uninstall it afterwards and it'll still work.

That did it, thanks sir! :)
