Hello,
I'm positive I've seen this question around but I can't locate it.
I've left my computer running 5 second-20 second autoturned increments for most of the day. it's been many many in-game hours, but this titanic space battle shows no signs of abating.
What's the best way to fix this problem? Just ride it out?
-
not much can be done, hopefully the ai isn't trying to chase something forever with no hope of catching it.
-
Praying it's an epic space battle which is now going into its 9th hour.
-
Started to have 1 of these in my laptop campaign. After 4 nites of 5sec increments, it was over after perhaps 2 days in game, perhaps 20 hours realtime.
-
yeah, i gave my computer a workout by simply leaving it running all day. We'll see how far it gets. Ordinarily I let it work for Seti@home during the day so if we fail to discover an alien civilization by nightfall, we can blame Steve.
I do hope I can clear this because I was just about ready to start a major ground war, my first ever in Aurora, and I was looking forward to writing some fiction about it.

17 hours of gametime in about 17 hours of real time. The day is saved. Stay tuned for a ground war!
-
Damnit steve, we're 17 hours further away from duscovering et!

If its not in one of your important systems, use space time bubble in spacemaster mode and "scroll" a few hours and it should speed up again...
-
Sorry h ow?
-
yeah...I don't understand what you mean by "scroll"
I just left it running all day. It fixed itself. Ground war in progress. Millions dead.
-
I assume by scroll he just means click a few hour turns.
-
Yea click an hour or more and it usually goes away to the next time...
