Title: Can a game with no system map be recovered?

I posted a bug in the appropriate thread, but can't seem to get around it.  I open the System View and get the "Error 6" on CentreOnLocation (which appears twice), and "Error 6" on "DisplaySystems" (which appears once).  After the error messages disappear I only have the blue screen: no icons or anything.  Checking/unchecking the various display options just throws the "DisplaySystems" error again.

If I open the stock "Solarian Empires" game there's no problem, so the issue is specific with my game.  I'd prefer not to start a new one from scratch if this one is salvageable.

Is there a way to recover from this error, or is it time to reroll?

Have you tried clicking 'Min Zoom'? That resolves at least one common type of map window error.  (I don't remember offhand whether this advice is appropriate to your specific problem. )
